Shift Worker Sunday Social Giveaway - Australia

To celebrate Shift Worker Sunday 2024, Deputy is giving AU$500 to 3 people who submit a thank you note to a shift worker through www.deputy.com/au/shift-worker-sunday/competition. For each winning submission, the shift worker thanked will also be eligible to receive AU$500 (maximum 1 shift worker per thank you note).

How to Enter

• To enter the competition, participants must share a thank you note to a shift worker by completing the form at www.deputy.com/au/shift-worker-sunday/competition, including the following:

  • Full name of participant

  • Email and phone number of participant

  • Thank you note

  • First name of shift worker 

  • Workplace of shift worker

• All participants in the competition must be 18 or older.

• The deadline for entry is 24 November 2024 at 11:59 PM (AEDT).

Prize

Each winning participant will receive and each nominated shift worker will be eligible to receive AU$500 via electronic funds transfer to their nominated bank accounts.

Terms and conditions

• Employees of Deputy or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the set up or administration of the competition are not permitted to enter the competition.

• Only residents of Australia are eligible to participate in the competition.

• Deputy reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who it has reason to believe has breached any of these terms and conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper conduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the competition.

• THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE AND NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THIS COMPETITION. 

• Entry into the competition opens on Monday 18 November 2024 at 12:01 AM (AEDT) and closes on Sunday 24 November 2024 at 11:59 PM (AEDT). 

• The 3 best entries determined by Deputy on 4 December 2024 in its absolute discretion will the prizes. Winning entries will be selected based on perceived authenticity of the thank you note and described impact of the shift worker. 

• Winners are solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, or local taxes on the prize amount.

• The 3 winning participants will be notified via email on December 4, 2024. Deputy will then liaise with each of the 3 winning participants to notify each of the 3 winning shift workers. 

• Subject to the 2 winning shift workers’ consent, by entering the competition, participants consent to Deputy using their name, likeness, and entry (including the thank you note) for promotional purposes in any media without further compensation. If the winners cannot be contacted or do not claim their prize(s) within 30 days of notification, we reserve the right to offer the unclaimed prize(s) to a substitute winner(s) selected in accordance with these terms and conditions.

• Deputy will provide details to the winners of how to claim their prizes. Please allow for 30 days for delivery of prizes. Alternative delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.

• Personal information including participants’ names, email addresses, telephone numbers and nominated bank account details (of the winners) will be collected and used for the purpose of conducting the competition. Any personal information relating to the winners or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with Deputy’s Privacy Policy and current federal and state data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the winners’ or entrants’ express consent. 

• The winners consent to the release of their first name to any other competition participants who request it. All entrants may apply for the first names of the winners by writing to us at support@deputy.com or phoning our customer support line on +61 2 5701 2066.

• Deputy reserves the right to request verification of the winners’ age, identity and residential address and any other information relevant to entry into or participation in this competition. Verification is at the discretion of Deputy, whose decision is final. Failure by Deputy to enforce any of its rights does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

• Deputy’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

• Deputy reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition, including if any problem prevents the competition from running as planned. Deputy is not liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered (even if caused by negligence) as a result of any winner accepting the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. By participating in the competition you agree to release and hold Deputy and its affiliates, agents, and representatives harmless from and against any claim associated with the competition. 

• The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of New South Wales and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
